Your VMworld 2015 Roundup!
Another VMworld in San Fransisco is behind us. The crowds certainly showed that the momentum is holding as technologists from around the globe converged onto the Moscone Center. Let’s take a look at some of the great technologies, featured front and center during VMworld 2015!
With numbers in the range of 24,000, it is difficult to imagine just how all of it comes and goes in a few short days. The theme of the event clearly shows a shift further up the data center stack. This year, cloud-native seemed to overtake SDDC as the drive towards workload portability was clear.
Cloud-Native, SDN, and DevOps, Oh My!
There was an interesting change with the Community Hang Space as the DevOps lounge popped up right in the middle this year. This was a part of the focus on what is being dubbed “cloud-native” with 28 sessions under that category, and a track of 13 different sessions focused on DevOps topics. Having just come out of the development of the new Cloud Native Computing Foundation, VMware was showing that they are all in with a development focus that has drawn a growing audience.
