Global thin client vendor, VXL Instruments Ltd, announces new business expansion plans involving significant price reduction across its range of desktops and thin ThinkPad notebooks along with the launch of innovative thin client hardware solutions for cloud computing, virtualization and remote desktop environments.

Frank Noon, VP Worldwide Sales, commented; “Continuing our commitment of pursuing best user value, we are announcing price decreases of up to 16% on selected XPe, WES 2009 and WES 7 desktops plus 8% on our notebooks together with upgraded Flash / RAM and new strategic model launches” he added.

New thin client devices provide unbeatable solutions for Cloud Computing and Desktop Virtualisation.

For an unbeatable solution for the Citrix environment, VXL’s fast-boot, Citrix HDX™ ready, the ‘Xtona’ range of desktops deliver the most enhanced user experience available today. Achieving greater operational efficiencies courtesy of client-side rendering of multi-media applications rather than server-side rendering used by competitor offerings, the Xtona range includes the mid-range, 1.0GHz, TC1512-z & high performance, 1.6 GHz, D12s-z models.

For VMware™ users, the new ‘Vtona’ Zero Client supports the Teradici 1100P PCoIP® protocol, for a superior remote desktop experience ensuring a rich multi-media performance including 3D graphics, CAD/CAM, video and more. The highly compact Vtona PCoIP® Zero Client has no operating system, making it simplicity itself to install as well as manage and offers users enhanced security for added operator peace of mind.

The high-performance, F Series desktop range, available with a choice of operating systems, including Windows XPe, WES 2009 and WES 7, features a powerful Nano 1.2Ghz processor and eight USBs while the new co-branded, VXL-Lenovo, TL130 thin ThinkPad notebook incorporates a 11” LED screen, 1.3Ghz processor, large Flash (8GB) and RAM (2GB) and extra long-life battery as standard.

The all new Xtona, Vtona, F series desktops and TL130 notebook are all available now from VXL channel partners on a global basis.
