VMworld—we went, we geeked, we got big news. One of this year’s biggest announcements at VMworld U.S. 2016: VMware Unified Endpoint Management (UEM). It’s the next phase of the digital workspace, helping drive down costs, boosting user experience and enhancing endpoint security. Read all about it with Sumit Dhawan, expert on all things VMware End-User Computing (EUC).

Meanwhile, CEO Michael Dell tweeted that Dell’s acquisition of EMC is set to close Sept. 7. Here he is live from VMworld with theCUBE.

Question—what is UEM?

Is it another tech buzzword, or is it something that will actually make your job really, really simple?  Watch this video to break down UEM with Blake Brannon, one of our geniuses at VMware AirWatch.

Here’s the bottom line.

In a Windows 10 world, the traditional rules of endpoint management and security no longer apply, explains BizTech. Users want Windows access anywhere, be it on a smartphone, tablet or, heck, even a fridge. Desktop, mobile, endpoint management and security—it all just needs to come together.

VMware UEM is going to make Windows 10 management so simple, you could see a 30% cost savings, reports Redmond magazine.

Roll the demos!

VMware EUC champ Sanjay Poonen nixed the slides Tuesday at VMworld for a demo-filled keynote presentation. In case you missed it, watch the replay here to see the digital workspace in action with Salesforce and Nike.
