VMware: Major Mobile Updates from the Apple WWDC 2016
Yesterday, the world saw the newest operating systems and features coming to the Apple ecosystem at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Here are some of the biggest announcements from the 2016 WWDC.
Apple calls iOS 10 their biggest release ever with 10 major feature updates, which will be publicly available this fall to all iOS users. Here’s a look at some of the coolest crowd-pleasers:
- “Raise to Wake” and Rich Notifications: With Touch ID, it’s so easy to unlock the iPhone that users easily bypass the lock screen, according to Apple—including the important notifications that help users create daily mobile moments. With the introduction of “raise to wake,” users just need to raise the device to see notifications now with even richer details and interactive options.
- Messages Bells and Whistles: iOS users will be able to easily “emojify” messages with advanced emoji recommendations, as well as apply “invisible ink,” full-screen backgrounds and text styles to chat.
- Open to Developers: Called a “huge release for developers,” iOS 10 also opens up Siri, Maps and Messages to developers to further advance the features and functionality with new integrations.
