VMware AirWatch Express setup – a quick walkthrough the console
So in my previous article I addressed the new offering from VMware AirWatch called VMware AirWatch Express. So With the new offering VMware AirWatch Express is trying to get customers that find MDM too pricy, too complex and thought it was not for them.
With VMware AirWatch Express offers MDM to the masses as it is a basic but very functional version of VMware AirWatch. So you are wondering what is offered and how can I configure this once I bought it? Well let me take you through the console so you can see the setup of a new environment.
So it starts with a few simple questions you need to answer, so connect to the console – the address of VMware airWatch Express console will be given to you by a VMware AirWatch representative. what you will be making is a blue print, a configuration that will be used for every device that is added later on. You can of course make more blue prints if needed.
1st Question: the first question asked starting the VMware AirWatch Express console is whether your end users will be using Apple devices. So if you answer yes here you will need to link an Apple account.
