Veeam and the End of Windows Server 2003 Support
Microsoft has officially announced that on July 15, 2015, Windows Server 2003 will no longer be supported!
We have come to the End of Life (EOL) or End of Support (EOS) for this incredibly popular and reliable Operating system. Windows Server 2003 EOL not only means the movement of workloads away from Windows Server 2003, but it also includes the inherent transition AWAY from the 32-bit hardware platform and TO virtualization with Hyper-V.
In almost every case, if we want to preserve applications, data and services while moving from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012 R2, the ONLY available options are migrations—not upgrades.
