Veeam Adds Oracle Databases Support to Veeam Explorers
New Veeam Explorer for Oracle Offers Industry’s First Transaction-Level and Image-Based ASM Backup and Recovery of Oracle Databases; Also Adds Enterprise-Level Enhancements for Advanced, Granular Application-Item Recovery with Veeam Explorers for Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint and SQL Server
Veeam® Software, the innovative provider of solutions that deliver Availability for the Modern Data Center™, today announced Veeam Explorer™ for Oracle as part of the new Veeam Availability Suite™ v9, which will be generally available later this year. In addition to a number of unique, industry-first features for Oracle – such as transaction-level database recovery, and agentless image-based backup and recovery for Oracle ASM – the company has also introduced several additional enterprise-level enhancements for Veeam Explorers for Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint and SQL Server.

Veeam has long offered recovery from Oracle and other popular applications via U-AIR® (Universal Application-Item Recovery) wizard. Now, Veeam Explorer for Oracle provides much simpler and more powerful recovery, joining the family of Veeam Explorers already developed specifically for Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint and SQL server.
