I have a great one for you today!  If you are a Citrix XenApp guy or girl then this is truly a must attend. Not only is the topic awesome but the two speakers are two of the best of the best, one being, Shawn Bass.  Shawn is, well, AMAZING and I use that word correctly.  He is truly amazing.  If you attend this you will thank me.  That is all I’m going to say about this webinar, the rest you can read below.

Optimizing Citrix XenApp for the Virtual Data Center

There is a massive install base of customers on Citrix XenApp with Windows Server 2003 that must move to Citrix XenApp 6.5 with Server 2008 R2 by July 2013. When customers migrate to XenApp 6.5, the majority will virtualize XenApp servers to take advantage of the manageability and consolidation benefits of server virtualization. However, the combination of virtualizing XenApp, upgrading to Windows Server 2008 R2 and shared storage introduces performance issues with provisioning, boot time and application response time for IO bound applications.

In this session, Citrix CTPs Shawn Bass and Jim Moyle will discuss the storage and performance challenges of virtualizing and migrating Citrix XenApp deployments and ways to optimize XenApp for performance and scalability. Shawn will present detailed LoginVSI and ioMeter test results showing how to optimize virtualized Citrix XenApp on Windows Server 2008 R2 to improve provisioning time, boot time, application response time and reduce storage requirements.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting Citrix Logon Issues – White Paper

The first time that a user interacts with the Citrix infrastructure is during logon. This also happens to be one of the most complex stages of a Citrix session. Citrix logon has several phases, involving Citrix apps, Microsoft operating systems, infrastructure components and third-party applications. Slow logons can affect the user experience and reduce user […]
