Thinstall Launches Distribution and Certified Partner Program To Support Global Demand for Application Virtualization

Centia and Lifeboat Distribution Named Thinstall Distributors

SAN FRANCISCO, California – March 19, 2007 – Thinstall, the leading Application Virtualization solution provider, today announced its Distribution Partner Program, naming Centia as European Distribution Partner, and Lifeboat Distribution, a subsidiary of Wayside Technology Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTG), as its North American Distribution Partner. The company also launched the Thinstall Certified Partner (TCP) program to give its distributor’s network of software resellers, VARs and system integrators the power of Thinstall’s certification to help corporate IT customers jump-start their virtualization programs.

Applications virtualized with Thinstall can be accessed and updated over an existing delivery infrastructure such as internal company networks, the Internet, Web servers, CD-ROM and Flash devices. The application can be run on-demand on locked down desktops, offline laptops, Terminal Servers and Citrix environments.

“Centia already partners with successful vendors such as Citrix, VMware, PlateSpin, WYSE, Neoware and Vizioncore,” said Angus Merelie, CEO, Centia. “The addition of Thinstall signals Centia’s advance toward its goal to become the UK’s leading knowledge-based distributor for access and virtualization technology.”

“We’re delighted with the opportunity to add the unique power of Thinstall, a proven leader in application virtualization technology, to our select line card of technical software” said Dan Jamieson, vice president and general manager at Lifeboat Distribution. “As the North American distributor, Lifeboat is excited to offer the competitive advantages of Thinstall’s virtual application solutions, which increase security and access to corporate applications while providing cost savings through reduced maintenance, to our qualified reseller customers throughout the channel.”

Thinstall’s Distributor and TCP programs provide multiple benefits to members to help:

·          drive business through marketing activities;

·          develop business plans, and quarterly business reviews;

·          increase exposure as a program partner/reseller of Thinstall;

·          receive deal exclusivity; and

·          improve profit margins through fast-track reseller certification.

“Rolling out our Distributor and TCP programs with top-tier companies like Centia and Lifeboat broadens our reach and gives us momentum to meet the global demand for Thinstall,” says Henrik Rosendahl, executive vice president of Thinstall. “As corporate IT embraces virtualization throughout the enterprise, the application layer has to keep pace. Working through our partner programs, Thinstall distributors and resellers are preparing for wide IT adoption of application virtualization solutions. Thinstall is pleased to expand its global IT customer base along with its partners, and will continue to deliver unparalleled technology solutions for application virtualization.”

About Thinstall

Thinstall is the next generation of application deployment. Thinstall’s Application Virtualization Platform virtualizes software delivery and access, enabling software companies and enterprises to deploy software without modifying the local operation system. Companies can deploy custom and licensed software across mixed Windows and locked down corporate desktop environments without installation conflicts, system changes or impact on stability. Software updates are easier and faster because regression testing can be reduced to days instead of weeks while installation failures and the associated help desk costs are eliminated.

Thinstall is a client-less application virtualization solution that allows applications to be packaged into simple EXE files that run in user-mode, isolated from the host PC, without installation or changes to the local desktop’s registry and file system. The unique, client-less architecture allows “Thinstalled” applications to be run from any LAN, WAN, USB, CD-Rom drive, etc., with zero-footprint on the host PC. The applications run exclusively in user mode, ensuring seamless execution on locked down desktops with no device drives installed, enabling administrations to maintain a secure, clean and stable user desktop and consequently, a heightened level of security.

Founded in 1999, Thinstall has been deployed to millions of desktops around the world. Customers include GE, the US Department of Defense, Qualcomm, Lucent, Northrop Grumman, Morgan Stanley, T-Systems, and Abbott Labs. Thinstall is privately held with company headquarters in San Francisco, CA. For more information, please visit the company’s Web site at www.thinstall.com or call 415-274-2558.
