MetaFrame Utilities |
Smart Reboot Script 2.0 |
NEW 1-23-04 - NOW WORKS WITH MPS 3.0 |
Check this out,
I was talking with some guys and they found the
fact that we are required to reboot servers out
of control and unless there was an elegant way
to recycle the servers without affecting users
then it was just unacceptable. Well, from
that meeting came this little utility thanks to
Don Morse! I highly recommend it.
|
|
What does it do?
Good question, it is the first version of what I
see as a smart reboot script. When the
script is launched it will wait for all users to
log off the MetaFrame XP server and once there
are no users logged on, the server will reboot
itself. Sort of cool, eh? The next
version will be even better and even smarter!!!
All this and more from the minds at DABCC.COM!

Registry Changer 1.0 |
KILLER!!! |
We are all fans of
Rick D's tuning tips now we have a script to
apply them and inventory what is already
configured. Once you have selected value
in global settings or tuning settings, a file
tuneup.vbs is created. (a undo.vbs file is
created too which allow you to go back). |
Flex Profile Kit v1.1 |
Jeroen van de Kamp's
FlexProfileKit allows you to combine the
advantages of Roaming and Mandatory Profiles to
make a more stable user environment! Check
it out!! |

CMPTMAN
|
(GUI tool to write App
Compatibility Flags (registry entries) on WTS. Not for use
on Win2K.)
|
EnumSrv
v1.0.6
|
(This simple GUI application, written by Jeff Reed, uses the NetServerEnum API to enumerate servers for a specified domain. If no domain is specified, the current domain is used. Can enumerate multiple criteria as well, and output can be copied to the clipboard. Can be used to enumerate WinFrame/MetaFrame (for Windows) servers, for
example)
|
MultiShadow
|
(This unsupported app, written by
Ronn Martin, allows you to initiate a shadow of a specific user by passing a username and
domain to a command line executable. Very useful
as a published app when you want multiple users
to shadow one specific user)
|
QuickShadow |
(This app, written by Ronn Martin, is a slick, lightweight GUI utility that allows a user to search for sessions by username (across a server farm) and gives them one click shadow capability over any of the users'
sessions) |

Windows 2000 Terminal Services Kernel Tuning Assistant |
(This
tool is designed to help you tune the

running Terminal Services in application
server mode. On a server where the
Processor, RAM, Disk and Network
subsystems are not bottlenecks, it may be
necessary to tune the Paged Pool/System
PTE balance to allow more users to logon
to the system.
This spreadsheet contains
instructions on how to determine the raw
data values and assists with the complex
math necessary to arrive at the
appropriate value for the SystemPages
registry value) |
