Sigma Group Enters a New Era of Service Delivery with Hybrid IT
Sigma DataCenterCloud is changing people’s expectations for speed and flexibility in IT. Customers of Sigma Group, a French hosting and managed services provider, made it clear that they wanted more visibility into and control over provisioning their workloads. These small and medium-size retail, insurance, and IT services businesses also expressed interest in pay-as-you-go pricing.
To deliver this flexibility and scalability, Sigma partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise to migrate to cloud, deploying a hybrid cloud that does double duty as an internal efficiency tool. HPE Helion Cloud Service Automation and HPE Operations Orchestration enable Sigma to spin up new customer infrastructure more quickly and integrate it with existing IT investments.
Reaping the benefits of process automation
The HPE solutions give Sigma unprecedented agility, thanks to their ability to automate and orchestrate the provisioning of new infrastructure. Working with HPE Software Services, Sigma slashed the time needed to deploy a virtual machine, from 2 days to 13 minutes. Sigma also reduced the staff hours required for that task, from 4 hours to only about 15 minutes.
