| Now that we have installed and patched MetaFrame Secure Access Manager 2.0 with Service Pack 1 we are ready to create an Access Center and configure it to achieve the vision of the project. The following sections detail how to create an Access Center. Remember that you may have as many Access Centers are you would like in a farm. MetaFrame Secure Access Manager allows you to build and support multiple Access Centers within a single MetaFrame Secure Access Manager infrastructure. The first time you launch the Access Manager Console and click on the interface you are prompted to create an Access Center. The following defines how to build your first site. 1. When the Secure Access Manager Console opens you will be presented with the following windows. Select Yes to create your first site. 2. Enter a name for the site and click Custom. There are two selections, Basic and Custom. For this example we will select Custom as it allows you to customize the configuration of the site within this Wizard. Click Next. 3. Select the security authority that MetaFrame Secure Access Manager will use to authenticate users. In this example Ive selected NT Domain or Active Directory and have selected to require login authentication. Click Next. Note: The MetaFrame Secure Access Manager security broker can authenticate against virtually any directory although by default only NT and AD are available. Citrix Consulting Service can provide services to modify the security broker to authenticate against any LDAP directory. 4. Determine whether or not you would like to allow MetaFrame integration with the MetaFrame Secure Access Manager site. If you would like to use the seamless MetaFrame integration, enter the farm name and IP or NETBIOS name of a MetaFrame XP Server in the text fields. Enter the port for the Citrix XML service. Click Next . 5. Click Next to accept the default option. This can be modified after the creation of the site. Note: Customizing the header, footer and the rest of the MetaFrame Secure Access Manager UI is explained in later MetaFrame Secure Access Manager in Box chapters. 6. Click Next to accept the default option of No Footer. This can be modified after the creation of the site. 7. Select where folder and pages will be displayed in the workspace. For this example please select Menus along top. Select the Menu along Top view and click Next to continue. 8. Select the CDAs that will be available in the Access Center. It is recommended that you select all the available CDAs, because you will end up assigning them to users, roles, and pages. Click the Select All button and click Next to continue. 9. Review the installation settings and Click Next to accept the settings. Click Finish to create the site. 10. MetaFrame Secure Access Manager installs the components to the appropriate servers within the MSAM infrastructure. Your site is now available win the Console and you are now ready to create user roles, folders and pages. Note: If you created an Access Center using the Basic option and then delete the portal, all associated CDA configuration information is permanently removed from the database You have now successfully created your first Access Center but still need to create Pages and Folders and add users. |
