Liquidware Labs has just launched ProfileUnity and ProfileUnity FlexApp v5.5. Last week, Jason E. Smith, Liquidware Labs Director of User Management solutions, gave me a complete overview of everything new in ProfileUnity.
Highlights in this DABCC interview video include ProfileUnity’s optional FlexApp Department Installed Applications (DIA), expanded privilege elevation for User Installed Applications, Profile Cleanup (great for Citrix XenApp and Microsoft Terminal Services), a newly redesigned management console GUI, tighter integration with Microsoft Active Directory, and numerous other ease-of-use enhancements in the product. If you haven’t checked out the product there has never been a better time, it’s perfect for physical and virtual Windows user management. After you watch the video you can even test drive the new version from a link on their website at www.LiquidwareLabs.com.
About ProfileUnity
ProfileUnity is user management for physical and virtual Windows desktops. The solution provides profile management and desktop configuration that makes it easy to deliver a managed user environment to any Windows PC or server based computing desktop. It’s a great compliment to for any type of desktop delivery method including VMware View, Citrix, and Red Hat Enterprise Desktop virtualization. The new built-in FlexApp technology is cool because it enables follow-me user and department level applications to persist on top of non-persistent VDI Windows sessions.
