About Bob Janssen
Bob Janssen is the Chief Technology Officer at RES Software. At the early age of 11, Bob wrote my first computer program in BASIC -- it quickly became evident that my studies would focus on Computer Science. Bob attended the Technical University of Eindhoven and hold a Business Computing degree from the Fontys University of Applied Sciences. Early in my career, Bob worked as a System Administrator and later as a Software Developer building pragmatic software solutions using the eXtreme Programming (XP) methodology for Air Liquide; the world leader in industrial and medical gases and related services. Bob quickly learned that building a pragmatic solution is all about driving through the entire problem in one blow while not get distracted with too many details. My motto became, “You're not here to drain the swamp; you're just here to kill one alligator.” In the late 90s, Bob became an Information Architect for Schenker, a leading International provider of integrated logistics services. Bob modeled, designed and supervised the construction of system and enterprise-level application solutions. At Schenker, Bob met up with Timo Bosma. We discussed the creation of a software company that would manage desktops and server-based computing environments. We realized our vision in 1998 by co-founding RES Software.
