The Performance Monitoring Challenge:
DABCC Radio is very excited about releasing a new segment that we are calling "The Performance Monitoring Challenge" In this segment Douglas will interview the technical brains behind the different Performance Monitoring solutions we find in the market today. As many of you know, there are a slew of PM vendors out there and when you are researching a new solution to solve your problems then where do you go for answers?
The goal for this segment is to allow each of the Performance Monitoring vendors to talk with Douglas about their solution and for you to them make up your own mind as to who you wish to evaluate and ultimately purchase!
In this segment Douglas will talk a bit more about the Performance Monitoring Challenge and his goals for it.
Interview - Performance Monitoring interview with Kevin Goodman from RTO Software:
This week we are very happy to have Kevin Goodman, the President, CEO, and Founder of Windows Performance Management and Optimization company RTO Software. Kevin and Douglas will discuss RTO's PinPoint Performance Monitoring solution.
About RTO PinPoint
RTO PinPoint monitors the application–not the server–and picks up where typical application performance monitoring systems leave off. PinPoint complements other enterprise systems management solutions by providing IT and business executives the information they need to monitor and maintain optimum performance of their business-critical applications. PinPoint gives managers information in real time, so they can make necessary adjustments before application issues negatively impact their business.
RTO PinPoint includes features that address the above situations and thereby enables the enterprise IT staff to manage and optimize the performance of business-critical applications. Some of the key features include the following:
- Root cause Analysis – Simple intuitive interface and easy to find and troubleshoot root cause quickly with the ability to replay historical activity.
- End-To-End monitoring – Collect, measure and monitor application performance from the client to the server endpoints and track the User Experience.
- Critical Path Monitoring™ – Auto-discover servers and group business-critical servers in the critical path of a transaction or user session and set alerts and threshold triggers to this group.
