VMTurbo, the leading provider of intelligent workload management software for cloud and virtualized environments, today announced that LifeLock is using its virtualization management suite to control and streamline the management of its VMware infrastructure. LifeLock selected VMTurbo to intelligently manage resource allocation across its virtual infrastructure based on the product’s ability to detect emerging bottlenecks, identify under-utilized resources and automate optimization actions that improve the overall performance of LifeLock’s virtual environment.

“At LifeLock, our mission is to protect our customer’s personal information, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, so having an efficient and reliable infrastructure management software is mission-critical for us,” said Patrick Pendleton, Chief Information Officer for LifeLock. “VMTurbo Operations Manager provides us with an effective solution that not only pinpoints potential problems, but takes it a few steps further by then identifying its impact, recommending the corrective actions and automating the execution of them to ensure our virtualized environment meets business demands and runs optimally. All of this information is provided to us in one centralized, easy-to-access location.”

VMTurbo provides LifeLock with an intelligent control plane that tracks, analyzes and optimizes their virtual infrastructure, giving them a better understanding of relevant performance, application demand and utilization trends. With VMTurbo Operations Manager, LifeLock is able to determine which resources will be constrained as workloads continue to grow. Additionally, the product identifies when mission-critical applications and virtual machines are disrupted by high storage latencies, forecasts when data store capacity will be oversubscribed, and reclaims storage from dormant virtual machines.

“LifeLock utilizes innovative technologies to keep their customer’s personal information safe, so we understand how imperative it is for the company to have a reliable, fully optimized virtual infrastructure,” said Jim McInerny, VP of sales at VMTurbo. “VMTurbo’s software is the perfect complement to LifeLock’s IT operations, as we enable the company to rapidly identify and prevent resource congestion and virtual infrastructure bottlenecks that would otherwise hinder its ability to proactively protect customer information.”
