New “Powered by Kaviza” program for MSPs to deliver high-definition virtual desktops as a managed service while maximizing revenues and margins with minimal investment

Kaviza, the pioneer in affordable plug-and-play desktop virtualization, unveiled today a new program called  Powered by Kaviza tailored to the needs of Managed Service Providers. Powered by Kaviza enables MSPs to offer affordably-priced managed desktop services both for on-premise and cloud-based deployments.  The Powered by Kaviza program provides flexible pricing and billing options to fit MSP business models.  More details at the Kaviza website.

“We created the Powered by Kaviza program in response to the tremendous interest we are getting from MSPs who seek a cost-effective approach to offer affordable managed virtual desktops without compromising end-user experience,” explains Krishna Subramanian, COO Kaviza.  “The Powered by Kaviza program enables MSPs to offer fully managed virtual desktops with rich high-definition experience both on-premise and across WANs – and it requires minimal investment in off-the-shelf infrastructure with the ability to scale-on-demand.”

“Our customers are very pleased with the superb user experience and robust service we are able to deliver with Kaviza-based hosted virtual desktops at a fraction of the costs,” explains Guise Bule, CEO of tuCloud, a premier Platinum-level Powered by Kaviza MSP.  “For as little as $25/CCU/month we are able to offer fully managed virtual desktops to customers thanks to Kaviza’s Shared Nothing architecture that requires minimal upfront infrastructure and scales on-demand.”

The Powered by Kaviza is a three-tier program with flexible options designed to enable MSPs to deploy managed virtual desktops in phases as demand grows:
  • Complete Kaviza VDI-in-a-box offering with rich high-definition Citrix HDX user experience and support are included
  • Monthly and term-based licensing to best fit MSP business and billing models
  • Three tiered program designed to offer flexibility – MSPs can start with minimal commitment and advance to higher levels of the program over time.  Features such as co-branding enable MSPs to create value-added offerings built on Kaviza’s best-of-breed platform.
The award-winning VDI-in-a-Box is a software appliance designed specifically for SMEs to fit departmental budgets and desktop IT expertise.  Kaviza delivers rich high-definition virtual desktops using a plug-and-play architecture that scales on off-the-shelf servers without requiring shared storage, and provides built-in high-availability.   Kaviza’s all-in-one design simplifies virtual desktop administration – dynamic desktop provisioning, load balancing, connection brokering, user provisioning, and high-availability are automatically handled.  Desktop IT can simply administer Kaviza through an intuitive point-and-click interface.  Kaviza delivers optimized rich high-definition user experience with Citrix HDX that can be accessed anytime, from anywhere – including thin-clients and mobile devices such as the iPad.  Kaviza was recently awarded “Best of VMWorld 2010” in Desktop virtualization on the heels of winning “Best of Synergy 2010” for its Business Efficiency.
