HPE Officially closes on SimpliVity Acquisition
Last month, HPE announced plans to acquire SimpliVity, a leading provider of software-defined, hyperconverged infrastructure. Last week, HPE announced that the deal has closed, giving both companies the official green light to begin integration plans.
By bringing together HPE’s best-in-class infrastructure, automation and cloud management software with SimpliVity’s industry-leading software-defined data management platform, the new HPE and SimpliVity hyperconverged solutions will deliver the best and most comprehensive enterprise-ready offering on to the market.
“Many things about this acquisition provide real customer value,” explained Ric Lewis, SVP and GM, HPE Software-Defined and Cloud Group. “I’m most excited about the strength of the people joining HPE and the roadmap that we will deliver for customers as a combined company.”
The combined HPE and SimpliVity portfolio will offer a rich set of enterprise data services across hyperconverged, 3PAR storage, composable infrastructure and multi-cloud offerings.
