Growing up with an operating system and BYOD policy
Windows is pretty-much unrivaled as a desktop operating system in the workplace. Even tech-minded people who spent their time in university raving about the benefits of using Ubuntu or Red Hat will know that when it comes to running a business, it’s a case of “user friendly equals less demands on first-line support.” Nothing completes with Windows for that mantle.
People grew up with Windows as a primary environment for work and play. Schools use it as their primary OS, and it’s bundled with almost every laptop despite a challenge from Google’s Chrome OS. Enterprise IT also favors Windows OS even if it often run apps in the cloud through a browser with some software as a service (Saas) subscriptions.
