GreenBytes Nabs VMware Ready Status for IO Offload Engine
Virtual desktop solutions developer GreenBytes has picked up VMware’s (NYSE: VMW) Ready seal, an endorsement to confirm integration and interoperability with the virtualization vendor’s cloud infrastructure, for its IO Offload Engine, a plug-and-play virtual desktop appliance.
You could say GreenBytes is on a little bit of a roll–the VMware approval comes only a few days after GreenBytes rolled out vIO, a virtual storage appliance version of the IO Offload Engine.
Steve O’Donnell, GreenBytes chairman and chief executive, said the IO Offload Engine had passed a detailed validation process to achieve the VMware Ready Status, a designation important to the company’s desktop virtualization product development.
