Former Microsoft EMEA Chairman Patrick De Smedt Joins App-DNA Board
Brings Technology Leadership to Growing App-DNA Enterprise
App-DNA, the world leader in application compatibility management for enterprises, announced the appointment of Patrick De Smedt as a non-executive director for the App-DNA board, expanding the leadership team with the insight of a 23-year veteran of Microsoft and former chairman of the Microsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa organization. Currently a non-executive director of Victrex plc, Morgan Sindall plc and CPP Group plc and a member of the advisory board of ING Bank NV, De Smedt is also a former board member of European public and private companies. He will advise App-DNA on growth and management strategies as the company continues record growth and expansion in Europe and North America.
One of the first European employees for Microsoft, De Smedt was pivotal in the expansion of Microsoft across Europe, with a progressive roles including General Manager of Microsoft Benelux, Vice-President of Enterprise & Group Services; Vice-President of Central, Southern Europe and Africa and culminating as the Chairman of the EMEA business organization, managing billions in revenue and thousands of staff. Additionally, he is a current member of the board of trustees of GUBERNA, a Belgian-based directorial network for the promotion of excellence in corporate governance.
