Cortado Releases Secure Browser for Intranet Access with iOS Devices
With Secure Net, Cortado is releasing a new app that enables companies to provide their employees with secure access to apps and content on an intranet. In combination with Cortado Corporate Server, the enterprise mobility solution from Cortado, Secure Net makes it possible to create an iOS 7 business container that provides secure access to any type of content.
Since the release of iOS 7, companies have had the option to create a secure business container to increase security, due to the separation of personal and business data, and to perfectly integrate the Apple operating system into the company network via an enterprise mobility solution. A frequent requirement is a secure browser for accessing the intranet.
With Secure Net, Cortado provides just that. Secure Net can be either opened directly or from the Cortado app. Easy access to web apps or intranet sites, such as time management or travel expenses tools, is now possible. Additionally, with Secure Net users can now convert intranet pages, such as documents or memos, into PDFs and save them in the secure Cortado app. This allows them to access it at a later time, such as when working on an airplane.
"A secure browser is an essential component of an iOS 7 business container, especially in larger companies. When users are able to access the intranet securely from their iPhone or iPad, their productivity increases without making any additional work for the IT department," said Kristin Montag, product manager, Cortado Corporate Server at Cortado. "This makes Secure Net the perfect complement to our Cortado Corporate Server."
