Cortado Redesigns Partner Program for Hosted Desktop and SaaS Providers
Cortado, the leading provider of cloud desktop services, today announces that it has redesigned its partner program for cloud service providers, giving them even more flexibility to add print support to their services.
More than 100 cloud service providers already use ThinPrint, the leading print solution for virtualized and server-based computing environments, to offer their clients high-performance printing of documents from the cloud. These include companies that host complete desktop solutions based on Microsoft Remote Desktop Services with or without Citrix XenApp. In addition, software as a service (SaaS) providers enable access to industry-specific applications available to their clients via the cloud. By using ThinPrint’s technology, customers can easily print shipping documents for the delivery of furniture, print documents for care facilities, or enjoy secure printing of sensitive personal papers.
New and exclusive for service providers, with the ThinPrint Management Center and the ThinPrint Connected Gateway two free components are available for hosting that otherwise are only available to purchase. In addition, providers can host the productive Cortado Corporate Server mobile device management system from the Cortado portfolio in the cloud.
The new program provides monthly billing based on actual licenses used, simplified administration, an overview of licenses via the Cortado Enterprise Portal, and free support services. In addition to the free add-on of other ThinPrint components, an amendment of the licensing terms ensures that the proven annual license model may now also be used officially in professional hosting environments. Smaller service providers especially can take advantage of the new program to use ThinPrint technology easily and without any contractual commitment in their services.
One of the first companies to use ThinPrint based on the convenient Annual License Model (ALM) is SpiderGroup in the UK city of Bristol, which hosts complete desktop solutions for its regional clients. “Since printing is extremely important to our clients, we are happy that with ThinPrint we can achieve a complete desktop solution that includes fast and outstanding printing results. With the licensing model, it is especially cost-effective and flexible for us,” said James Cook, CEO of SpiderGroup.
The German SaaS provider Swing, which hosts applications for care facilities, decided to enter into a new partner agreement. “Our clients in the care industry constantly have to print important documents. ThinPrint ensures fast results here. And we, as a cloud provider, don’t even have to know which printers are installed locally,” said Daniel Fischer, managing director of Swing.
“Clients using cloud services expect the same high-performance printing that they are used to in classic environments. If you want to be successful in the long term as a service provider, you have to guarantee this with the use of the right technology,” said Frank Hoffmann, director of strategic relationships at Cortado. “With ThinPrint, Cortado not only offers the leading print solution for cloud services, but now also easy licensing options for providers of every kind and size.”
