At the Intersection of Two Hyper-growth Markets – Software- as-a-Service and Real Time Collaboration – Citrix Online Gives Customers What They Want

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – With a relentless focus on delivering a superior customer experience and an ongoing process of making it easy to buy, use and benefit from its on-demand software, Citrix Online, a division of Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), catapulted into a prominent position at the start of the year as a leading pure-play Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider for real-time collaboration in the world, according to Roopam Jain, principal analyst at Frost and Sullivan.

Reporting 50 percent year-over-year growth and nearly $150 million in revenue in 20061, the maker of Citrix® GoToMyPC® remote desktop access, Citrix® GoToMeeting™ Web conferencing, Citrix® GoToWebinar™ Web events and Citrix® GoToAssist™ remote technical assistance, is taking two hyper-growth markets—SaaS and real-time collaboration—by fire storm— or rather, by innovative simplicity.

“The combination of on-demand collaboration and SaaS is catching on like wildfire,” commented Alan Greenberg, sr. analyst and partner at Wainhouse Research.  “And Citrix Online’s ‘simpler-is-better’ approach has larger players looking in their rear view mirrors.”

As more businesses and mobile professionals are using software available on demand on the Web to access their business applications, personal digital information and connect with people online today than ever before, Citrix Online is setting its sites on keeping its secure solutions as simple as possible. John Warrillow, president of small business research firm Warrillow Research, noted that Citrix Online clearly understands the concept of  “Simpleneering: an ongoing process of making products and services simpler to use and the process of ignoring technical possibilities in favor of the simple.”

Citrix Online’s strategy is earning results with customers in security-sensitive vertical sectors, such as insurance, accounting and financial services and legal and healthcare solution providers. First Insight, widely recognized in the eyecare industry as the most complete and versatile practice management and electronic medical records software company, uses Citrix Online’s innovative solutions to optimize business growth and customer service, security, reliability and performance. “Citrix Online’s real-time access and collaboration solutions have had a dramatic effect on our ability to grow, communicate, serve customers and attract new ones,” said Cyndi Athmanathan, project manager at First Insight Corporation. “Now part of our DNA, GoToMyPC, GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar and GoToAssist are integral to our success and growth.”

“Our rapid growth is based on putting the customer at the heart of all our strategic business, engineering and service decisions,” said Brett Caine, general manager of Citrix Online. “Hundreds of thousands of people and more than 22,000 organizations around the world turn to Citrix Online to drive a simpler, better customer experience across the frontlines of their business.”
