Citrix Launches XenClient Enterprise 4.1

At the recent Synergy 2012 in San Francisco, Citrix announced the acquisition of Virtual Computer and plans to release XenClient Enterprise.  Just a few weeks later, we’re pleased to announce the general availability of this exciting new offering – the first release to combine market-leading client virtualization technologies from Citrix and Virtual Computer.

Moreover, XenClient Enterprise is now included within XenDesktop Enterprise and Platinum.  This means that customers with licenses to XenDesktop Enterprise or Platinum gain immediate access to XenClient Enterprise.

Citrix XenClient Enterprise extends the benefits of desktop virtualization to corporate laptops and makes PCs more manageable, reliable, and secure.  As a part of XenDesktop, it enables users to switch between local and hosted VMs with ongoing synchronization of apps and data (through ShareFile), allowing users to work on their laptop and then seamlessly switch to their mobile phone or tablet for convenient access to their desktop, apps, and data (Follow-Me-Apps & Follow-Me-Data).
