It also has me thinking, is the value of Platinum edition diminishing as it stands today? Weird Errors and the Mysterious Root Cause

Citrix EdgeSight 5.3 Monitors License Servers
On the 11th of March, Citrix quietly released EdgeSight 5.3. Apart from endpoints and XenApp servers, EdgeSight now monitors license servers presents in the environment. No agent is required for this new feature. This version is not affected by the timebomb present in earlier versions ;-)

Error where Citrix License are Reserved Twice ...with the Citrix.opt File RESERVATION Command
Citrix support released an article detailing that if the License Server contains two license files and the RESERVATION command in the “CITRIX.opt” file is used, licenses are reserved twice. Future Citrix Access Suite Products May Not Function Depending on the Date in the License File
Citrix support just announced that f uture Citrix MetaFrame Access Suite products may not function depending on the version of the license file on the license server. This is because Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0 and MetaFrame Conferencing Manager 3.0, point to a license server for licensing. Because of this new licensing scheme, Citrix is using what is called Date Based Versioning for all future Citrix products. Each Citrix product has a hard coded date called a burn-in date which corresponds to that particular product's release/build. The burn-in date for a product is likely around the RTM date for that release.
