A script to allow easy testing of your App-V package on any OS
Time and patience are required when creating App-V packages and testing them on various operating systems. You should always target your packages for the right operating system (OS), but testing shows that a package made for one Windows OS may run on another Windows version. This PowerShell script modifies .OSD files for you so that you can test your packages against any OS, such as Windows 8!

Microsoft: Cloud Computing to Create Millions of Jobs
Microsoft Corp. today published commissioned research from analyst firm IDC indicating that cloud computing will create nearly 14 million new jobs globally by 2015. How to remove File Type Associations on the App-V Sequencer
When using Package Accelerators with the Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.6 Service Pack 1 (App-V 4.6 SP1) Sequencer you end up with EXACT same package as the one used to create the Package Accelerator. In the case of Microsoft Office, you will end up with all the File Type Associations (FTA) for the latest version of Office (.DOCX, .XLSX, .PPTX) as well as the original Office formats (.DOC, .XLS, .PPT).

Introducing the App-V 4.6 SP1 Sequencer
I’m Chris Green, Program Manager on the App-V team. I first joined Microsoft in June, 2009 and I was immediately assigned to the beginnings of a project that I would see right through to its release. That project was to make improvements to a component of the App-V system called the Sequencer. This tool came from humble beginnings. In fact, its genesis was as a developer tools that was used internally by Softricity employees. Eventually it was made into an end-user tool and provided to customers, but only after two days of on-site training.
