How to Build a Citrix NetScaler Unified Gateway in under a Second

Dave Brett 0
Whilst attending @XenAppBlog Automation Framework Masterclass in London last month Eric and I started to talk about how we could automate and bring some NetScaler Unified Gateway goodness to the course.  This (obviously) peaked my interest and I started to look into using NITRO to automate a NetScaler Unified Gateway build so that the students […]

Dave Brett 0
Last week whilst attending the Automation Framework Masterclass in London (check the link for more details and to register) run by Eric from Xenapp Blog we started chatting about the configuration of the virtual VyOS Router and what extra functionality we could bring to the table. Citrix NetScaler Global Server Load Balancing from On-Premises to Microsoft Azure

Dave Brett 0
Something really cool happened this week. NetScaler in Microsoft Azure got a revamp! Dave Brett 0
I have been working on a community monitoring project for a little while now that is aiming to provide you with a free platform to get a high level overview of your Citrix Estate.  As I have said before, the aim of this is not to compete with the likes of ControlUp etc as they do a […]

Citrix NetScaler GSLB Management with Octoblu and NITRO

Dave Brett 0
When using Citrix NetScaler to present a web accessible service using GSLB the NetScaler and GSLB has the ability to automatically fail over between sites and return the public IP Address of the currently live service.  This is great and a massive plus for any deployment, however, what if the internet connection goes down at […]

Managing Citrix NetScaler by email with Octoblu and NITRO

Dave Brett 0
“It would be great if we could enable the developers to enable and disable their own Citrix NetScaler Load Balancer vServers by just sending an e-mail in.  It would mean they could manage their own objects on the NetScaler without any input from IT and without the need to provide access to the NetScaler Itself” This […]

Octoblu Intergration with Free Citrix Monitoring Tool

Dave Brett 0
I have been a big fan of Citrix Octoblu and what it can bring to your estate for a while now.  I was thinking about how I could “smarten up” the monitoring scripts I have been developing and thought that using Octoblu Triggers would be a good idea as once the error data from the […]

Free Monitoring, Port Test Community Update Module

Dave Brett 0
I have had a lot of requests for my free monitoring tool and am really glad to be getting some great feedback about how it’s all working. That said, I can’t test everything and tend to test the scripts on Windows Server 2012 and up (my bad I know!). So today when I got an […]
