Has anyone else experienced this. I have found that over the last 2 -3 months we have had a lot more traction on Hyper-V R2 installs. I am finding that Microsoft's Partnering with Vendors like Citrix and Dell have really pushed this up. In speaking with our local Citrix FSM's up here in Canada they are being told to push Microsoft as much as possible (For obvious reasons).
Anyways -- I am finding the uptake is not with enterprise customers yet. It is with smaller installs of 2 -3 Servers. I have been doing quite a few HA Installs with Dell Equallogic Storage. I do have to admit that compared to XenServer or Vmware -- Setting up HA on a Hyper-V Server is quite painful. If you follow the process it works quite well and normally doesn't present issues -- But after mentoring 2 of my senior resources this week. We found it took us about 2 hours to stand up the cluster and get some baseline testing complete.
