I usually enjoy reading Brian's blogs because he always looks at the best interest of the customer and doesn't get influenced by announcements and technologies that are not real. However, in this case - I have to say that he missed the mark on few things. Brian is the last person I had expected to get caught up in the land of vaporware and public announcements; so I thought I'd get the record straight.

IT should never be all one or the other. IT is not always Citrix ra ra... or VMware hippie... Brian is good at that. You don't have to agree but you can't blame him for stating his views. - Doug Brown» replyposted by Guest - 11/28/2008RE: RE: Typical Brian - Brian madden says things to get attention for his website under the guise of expressing his views to make money and sell his services to many misinformed people out there. Granted all these sites have good content, mostly thanks to the community, but for any critical thinking person not to understand that Brian has an agenda is just crap and those who read and really understand both sites know it. For example Doug, he bashed you a few months ago, that was out of order. Next he pulled that stunt on the Qumarnet article that he was supposed to publish results on. He took feedback from the community about what to do, and then never published anything. Not even a comment why, guess RedHat have shut him up with $$$$$$$. Nothing wrong with making a living, but understand the reality of what he says people, and don't believe the BS about I am only expressing an opinion. It's an opinion to push an agenda. Then of course check his site out now, with Guest turned off. Is he scared of people talking the truth, or did he have to sell out to the new holding company as well. He just doesn't get so many people can't sign on to blog who work in the real world, so another cop-out. So by all means read the blogs enjoy the content, but please don't think Brian is really as independent as he would like you to think. » replyposted by Guest - 11/29/2008RE: RE: RE: Typical Brian - well put» reply
