PALO ALTO, CA – AppStream, Inc., a leader in on-demand application deployment and management, announced that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) recently issued AppStream the fifth patent on their innovative streaming technology. The new patent (US 7,197,570), described as “System and Method to Send Predicted Application Streamlets to a Client Device,” covers a method which helps to optimize delivery performance and end-user experience.

About AppStream 5.2.2

AppStream 5.2.2 comes in two versions, AppStream 5.2.2 Enterprise edition and AppStream 5.2.2 SaaS edition.

 

The 5.2.2 SaaS edition (click here) allows software vendors to quickly convert any existing Windows® application to an Internet based services model without modifying the application, thereby getting the software to users in days versus months and providing many of the benefits of web-native applications.

  APIs to allow for direct integration into ISV’s website

  Subscription management

  Client and server side SDK

  Custom branded client option

   

 

AppStream 5.2.2 Enterprise edition (click for release), is a new version of its core product that enhances support for enterprise customers with state-of-the-art application provisioning, license management, and new support for systems using Intel® vPro™ and Intel® Centrino® Pro processor technology.

  Support for Windows® Vista

  WAN Optimizer option with proxy caching

  Enhanced LDAP/Active Directory support

  SDKs available for both client and server customization

  License tracking for streamed and conventionally installed

    applications

  Enhanced support for virtualization solutions like Altiris SVS

  True MSI streaming

  Firefox support

  Pre-population of icons and packages
