10ZiG Technology (www.10zig.com), an emerging market leader in the development of Thin Clients and Network Appliances, today announced that 10ZiG Linux Thin Clients are now available with the new Quest® vWorkspace Connector for Linux, version 7.0.

Quest vWorkspace manages, secures and provisions virtual desktop environments, brokers connections, and delivers virtual applications and desktops from multiple hypervisors, Remote Desktop Session Hosts (Terminal Servers) and blade PCs through a single user access point and management center. The Quest vWorkspace Connector for Linux offers features for an enhanced end user experience on Linux workstations and thin clients, including multi-monitor support, Flash redirection and bi-directional audio.

Version 7 of the Quest vWorkspace Connector for Linux is available now pre-installed on 10ZiG’s V-Series Linux Thin Clients. The V-Series Thin Clients are energy efficient, flexible, powerful and optimized for desktop virtualization with a wide range of VDI clients pre-installed.

“The release of the Quest vWorkspace Connector for Linux opens the door to provide a much richer desktop experience on Linux devices with our Experienced Optimized Protocol (EOP) technology,” said Jon Rolls, division vice president of product management for Quest Software’s Desktop Virtualization Group. “10ZiG has continued to integrate our latest connector on their thin clients to assist with an easy, seamless implementation. The combined solution delivers secure, energy-efficient units that fit perfectly in a virtual desktop environment.”

“We’re pleased to work closely with Quest Software and to be the first thin client vendor to make this integration available,” says Martin Pladgeman, President, 10ZiG Technology. “The integration of the new Quest vWorkspace Connector for Linux into our Thin Clients will allow customers to benefit from an enhanced end user experience which is critical for a successful virtual desktop deployment. Due to customer demand for vWorkspace and our experience with the solution, we also offer the integration of the Windows connector for Quest vWorkspace on our newest line of thin clients for Windows Embedded Standard 7.”
